Pakistani exhibitors in Food & Beverage West Africa under Government’s ‘Look-Africa Plan’

In 2019, the pre-covid edition of the exhibition, a huge number of importers and distributors visited Pakistan pavilion and made this event successful for the exhibitors. The Pakistani exhibitors in Food & Beverage West Africa were given full support by The Pakistan High Commission – Nigeria. This year once again, the pavilion prospects looked promising as Government of Pakistan created a Pakistan pavilion where 12 leading and well known companies from the food & beverage industry  participated. The show was held from 1st – 3rd September 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Pakistani Government formulates Africa-specific policy to increase exports to explore the $500 billion African market

  • Pakistan-Africa trade is well below its true potential, hence the new policy focuses to double trade with African region from $4 billion to $8 billion under the ‘Look Africa Plan’.
  • Pakistan’s total trade with Africa is $3 billion as against the total trade volume of $3 trillion.
  • Pakistan’s share in total trade of African countries is 0.3 percent, indicating a vacuum for huge potential business specially in the food sector.
