Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan managed prominent participation in two-day ‘Travel and Adventure Show’ at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. 20 private tour operators and hospitality companies, and six provincial and regional tourism departments participated in the country pavilion during the show.
The Pakistan pavilion at Travel & Adventure Show New York
The prominent location of Pakistan Pavilion helped to draw the attention of thousands of people to the Pakistani stalls. 750 organizations from more than 175 countries participated in the show. The aim of Pakistan’s participation in the show was to attract foreign investors in the country’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Twenty private companies from the hospitality and tourism industry along with provincial tourism departments of Pakistan attracted world tourists. The provincial departments participating in the show included the Tourism Development Cooperation of Punjab (TDCP), Culture and Tourism Department Gilgit-Baltistan (CTDGB), Tourism Department of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cultural and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), and Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC).

Upon directions of Managing Director TDCP Mr. Agha Ali Abbas, B2B sessions were conducted to promote Bi-lateral relation with Tourism Professionals of USA and around the Globe present at New York Travel & Adventure Show 2023. Consul General Ayesha Ali held a reception in honor of the visiting dignitaries and delegation for Travel & Adventure Show 2023 in New York.
MD PTDC Rana Aftab Rehman briefed the visitors about the incentives and facilities extended by the Government of Pakistan to foreign tourists. Trade and Investment Counselor Consulate General New York Talat Mahmood, Manager PTDC Sadia Nauman, Board Members Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation Ahmed Shafique remained active and had useful discussions with the representatives of private and public sector tourism organizations of different countries participating in the show for the promotion of mutual tourism.
