Pakistan has competitive advantage in the Saudi Halal food market

Pakistan has competitive advantage in the Saudi Halal Food segment of the market in contrast to other non-Halal food producing countries. Since Pakistan’s major exports are based on textile and agricultural products, Foodex Saudi brought enormous exporting opportunities this year for the food sector. The Halal Food Market is expected to reach $ 6 billion by 2020; the total value of food imports will reach $35 billion. There is a need to capitalize the emerging opportunities of growth in Saudi Food industry.
