9 Pakistani Companies participated in Saudi Arabia’s Leading International Food & Drink Exhibition, Foodex Saudi which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 12-15 November 2018. The product range of these companies varied from Rice to Confectionery to Frozen Food, Spices and much more. Foodex Saudi provides a great opportunity to capture over 8,000 projected visitors and buyers from Saudi Arabia and the GCC & to achieve a return on the investment.
The Pakistan Pavilion was constructed with the theme of Emerging Pakistan. The Embassy & Consulate extended full cooperation to Pakistani exhibitors & made arrangements for match-making and B2B meetings of Pakistani exporters with the foreign buyers.
On this occasion, the Commercial Consulor Mr. Shahzad Ahmad Khan said that promoting bilateral trade between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is one of the foremost responsibility of Pakistan Consulate. Saudi Arabia, imports more than $25 billion worth of food and beverage products each year. This, Khan said, offers huge opportunity to Pakistani companies to increase exports by tapping halal food market of Saudi Arabia, which currently imports more that 80 percent of its total food and beverages requirement.
